This sounds way better than you’d imagine. Gutted I didn’t get down for it.
To commemorate the end of the Whitechaple community Street Project and the end of Minerva Cuevas’ S COOP commission (some ice cream based community art antics) six ice cream vans parked up next to the exhibition on Toynbee Street and played a specially written composition.
The 10 minute six part composition was composed by Kelvin Pawsey and it sounds way better than Greensleeves.
This is a video of the vans playing at the Whitstable Biennial last year.
